Summer Camps in Canada
Nacel Canada is pleased to offer individual and group programs during the summer. Book your summer camp in Canada with Nacel!
These camps are built for children and teens who want to enjoy themselves while making real progress in English. It’s a mix of learning, adventure, and international friendships : students meet peers from around the globe, explore top attractions, and discover Canada along the way.
English + activities every day
Students take weekday morning English classes, followed by a full program of afternoon outings and activities. Weekends are reserved for full-day excursions to a variety of destinations.
Guided by the teaching team, these trips aren’t just sightseeing, they’re an engaging way to explore the Toronto region, connect with students from different countries, and practice speaking English naturally throughout the day.
Choose the camp that fits your style
Students can select between two locations:
- Toronto Camp: ideal for students who want the buzz of a large city; fast-paced, lively, and full of iconic places to explore.
- Hamilton Camp: perfect for students who prefer a smaller-city experience, with an excellent location between Toronto and Niagara Falls.
Hamilton students still get plenty of time in Toronto through teacher-led day trips, so no matter which option students choose, they’ll combine language learning with unforgettable Canadian experiences and return home with memories that stay with them for years.
This program is available to both groups and individuals.
For individuals, our Nacel coordinator will take care of the students right from the airport.
English Classes
The lessons are built around the key foundations of English: grammar, writing, reading, speaking, and listening, taught together in a connected, practical way.
Teachers use a communicative approach, meaning students learn by actively using English rather than only studying rules. Lessons are designed to be lively, interactive, and enjoyable, with frequent speaking practice in pairs and small groups.
A strong emphasis is placed on oral communication in every class. Students also take part in presentations and collaborative projects, which are an essential part of the learning experience. Throughout the program, students receive ongoing feedback and evaluations on their work and projects to help them improve and track progress.
Teachers are university graduates, TESL-certified, and bring solid experience teaching students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
Our camp teaching team is selected carefully, based on their proven skills, teaching experience, and motivation, so students learn in a supportive environment led by professionals who know how to engage young learners and help them succeed.
Trips & Activities
Trips and activities are a core part of our camps. We strongly believe students improve fastest when they’re using English in real situations, and taking part in organized outings is one of the best ways to put new language skills into practice.
To keep the experience safe, engaging, and social, students are accompanied by a supportive team throughout the program. Teachers and activity staff are there to supervise, energize the group, and encourage students to communicate in English. In Hamilton only, students also benefit from Canadian Teen Buddies, who help create even more opportunities for natural conversation, confidence-building, and cultural exchange.
Students join us from all over the world, bringing a truly international vibe to the camp. Past participants have come from countries such as Russia, South Korea, Spain, Japan, Venezuela, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, and many others.
To help everyone progress quickly and confidently, the program follows an English-only policy: students are expected to use English in class and also throughout all excursions, trips, and activities.
Toronto Camp (ages 10–17)
Location
Our Toronto campus is located at Yonge & Bloor, right in the heart of downtown, near the University of Toronto and just a 1-minute walk from the Yonge/Bloor subway station. The area is lively and convenient, with plenty of shops and take-out restaurants serving international cuisine nearby.
Trips & activities
The program includes teacher-led afternoon activities every weekday, plus one full-day trip every Saturday. Sundays are free time, usually spent with friends or host families.
Transportation
Toronto’s bus and subway network is safe and easy to navigate. Students and teachers use local transit to reach weekday activities. Students will need to purchase a TTC pass for commuting to/from camp and for weekday outings. Most Saturday excursions are organized by chartered bus.
Homestay & off-campus residence
Individual students stay in homestay with Canadian families. Hosts provide three meals per day and a welcoming home environment. All families are carefully screened by our coordinator with student comfort and safety in mind. We do our best to place students under 14 with an older student who can accompany them to school (when possible, but not guaranteed).
Residence accommodation in Toronto is available for groups only, typically at nearby University of Toronto or Toronto Metropolitan University
Hamilton Camp (age 10-17)
Location
The Hamilton Camp takes place on the campus of Hillfield Strathallan College, a well-known private school offering modern facilities. Students have access to a gym, sports fields, and outdoor picnic areas. Hamilton is conveniently located between Toronto and Niagara Falls, about a 45-minute drive from each, ideal for exploration as well as study.
Trips & activities
Students enjoy a balanced mix of teacher-guided activities in Hamilton, along with frequent excursions to Toronto and Niagara. All trips are organized with chartered buses, making travel comfortable and straightforward.
Transportation
Depending on where students are placed in homestay, they may walk, take public transit, or use our “daily drive” service (when offered for specific routes). Students staying in residence are typically just a short walk (around 2 minutes) from campus.
Homestay & on-campus residence
Homestay is a great option for students who want a deeper cultural experience with a friendly Canadian household.
Hamilton also offers an on-campus residence for both individuals and groups. Students stay in a shared two-bedroom suite, with their own private bedroom (double bed), a small kitchenette, and a full bathroom with a shower. The residence includes 24-hour security, laundry facilities, a games room, and even a small movie theatre.
Meals are included daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and staff live on-site to supervise and support students. Evenings are rounded out with fun, organized activities to keep the experience social, safe, and memorable.
