Travel to Spain as a High School Exchange student
Canadian students are warmly welcomed by our Spanish families eager for a meaningful cultural and language exchange. As an exchange student in Spain, you attend regular classes at a Spanish public or private high school, fully immersing yourself in the Spanish education system and culture.
Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages globally. Becoming bilingual in Spanish sets you apart, and the most effective way to achieve this is through a long-term immersion program in Spain. Within weeks, you'll find yourself thinking and even dreaming in Spanish!
Attend a Spanish High School
Students can enroll for a full academic year from September to June, a semester, a trimester, or even short-term programs lasting a few weeks. Spanish high school students typically study 10-12 subjects per week. In the 10th grade, most subjects are mandatory, with a couple of electives. In the 11th and 12th grades, students can specialize in Science and Technology, Social Science, Humanities, or Arts (in some schools). These final years are focused on preparing for the Bachillerato.
Spanish high school schedules generally run from 8 am to 2 or 3 pm, with some schools offering afternoon classes as well.
Program Highlights:
- Immersive Experience: Live with a welcoming Spanish host family and attend school like any other local student.
