On this tour of Eastern Canada, you will spend more time in the province of Ontario, including activities in Toronto, Ottawa, the Thousand Islands, and a visit to the stunning Niagara Falls. Finish up with a couple of days exploring Montréal.

DAY 1


Upon arrival in Toronto, Canada’s most populous and truly diverse city, you will be transferred to your hotel. Participate in a walking tour of the exciting urban neighbourhood before dinner.


DAY 2


Take a walking tour that includes a thrilling climb up the CN Tower. Standing at 553 metres, the CN Tower is the tallest free standing structure in the Western Hemisphere. You will also appreciate a visit to the Royal Ontario Museum, one of the largest museums in North America.


DAY 3


Depart the hotel after breakfast and travel to Niagara Falls. Along with taking a cruise on the memorable Maid of the Mist, you will visit the beautiful and historic Niagara-on-the-Lake area. The town of Niagara was razed during the War of 1812, but later rebuilt on its original site. Return to Toronto for dinner and the overnight.

DAY 4


Depart the hotel after breakfast and take an excursion to Kingston and enjoy a cruise through the Thousand Islands. The Thousand Islands are actually an exquisite string of 1,864 islands that stretch for close to 50 miles in the St. Lawrence River, part of the Canada U.S.A. border. After dinner, continue on to Ottawa.


DAY 5


Your tour of Ottawa, the capital of Canada, begins with a visit to Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, Byward Market, and Embassy Row. Ottawa has long been an important political and technological centre in Canada.

DAY 6


Today, the group will have the option of visiting two of Ottawa’s museums. Choices may include the National Gallery of Canada, the Science & Technology Museum, the Museum of History, the War Museum, or the Bank of Canada’s Currency Museum.


DAY 7


You will depart the hotel after breakfast and travel to Montréal, one of Canada’s most vibrant cities. After lunch, take in the sights of St-Joseph’s Oratory, Basilique Notre-Dame, and Old Montréal. The historic City centre of Montréal still has architecture dating back to when it was known as New France. Before dinner, check into your heritage hotel.

DAY 8


You will visit the Olympic Stadium & Tower today, as well enjoying a visit to the Biodome. The Montreal Biodome is a facility located in Montreal that allows visitors to walk through replicas of four ecosystems found in the Americas. On your last afternoon, you will have some free time for shopping.


DAY 9


Your mind full of history and beauty, transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
