3) Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) in Health Care Science/Medical St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School is dedicated to academic excellence, the development of each individual’s interests and talents and the nurturing of the Catholic Faith. Students are taught to think critically, work independently, communicate effectively, and show respect for themselves, for others, and for the environment.The school offers academic programs for university‐bound students, applied programs for college‐bound students, and essential programs for the learning challenged; it also offers co‐op apprenticeship and workplace programs in computer engineering and cosmetology.
Facilities
The new school building comprises three storey and features a theatre, two gymnasiums, a full range of tech and co‐op classrooms and an interior running track, a weight room.

Soccer, Football, Basketball, Field Hockey, Rugby, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Cross‐Country, Track and Field, Hockey, Swimming. The school community prides itself on athletic achievements, and STA fields teams known as the "Raiders" in a wide variety of sports.
Arts
Arts‐related groups include the Aquinas Concert Band, a Jazz Band, a choir, a yearly school play, entries in the Sears Drama Festival, and the school's Tech Crew. Art Club.
